1.1  How is 'Clannad' pronounced and what does it mean?
    
     The word 'Clannad' is pronounced CLAN-ehd. Some people, especially in
     the US have taken to calling it clan-AHD, but this is incorrect. This
     information comes from the 'PastPresent' video and from interviews with
     the band.

     Clannad was originally named 'an clann as Dobhar' meaning 'family from
     Dore.' The name was latter shortened to 'Clannad.'
