I've never thought that this episode would be the first one of this
animation...It's so big a surprise that I almost laugh to death~ ^^ 
Well,it seems that setting this episode as the beginning of the 
animation of "The Melancholy of HARUHI SUZUMIYA" proved to be 
successful,which has brought a big disccusion among the audience
right after it's on air.If having read the original novel of this 
work,you could found great joy in this episode,which has many 
associations with the story following;if not,you can also take it as
a funny movie,and have more fun in finding the secrets hiding in 
this episode. 
This DVD is worth to buy,and the extra presents(Sound track CD+post 
card guiding booklet+special package) would also be a strong reason 
for for your choice~
